Famous 24 Hour Endurance Race at Le Mans Race Circuit
The dates for the famous 24 hour endurance race in 2017 are 17th – 18th June for the car race and 9th – 10th April for the motorcycle race. Even if you find cars and bikes boring you cannot fail to enthralled by the excitement of these 24 hour races. The circuit de la Sarthe runs right through and round the town of Le Mans and as one watches the barriers and grandstands go up in advance of the races the excitement starts to grow. A festival feel takes over the town as it’s inhabitants await the arrival of thousands of spectators as well as racing cars, drivers, engineers and all the ancillary teams required to support the race.
Watching the cars from the UK embark on the ferry at Portsmouth race-ready was also something I really enjoyed when living in that part of the world…and all of this by someone who has no interest in cars at all! However, buying a property in Loire would mean that you could always see the race in Le Mans rather than ogling the cars as they embark on their journey of endurance.
