Street Festival Comes To Auch

6-10 June Auch
Street dance, street music and street art all come to Auch on the 6-10th June. This is a time to see the latest and best in all forms of street performing. Apart from skateboarding, rollerblading, street dancing and street concerts, Auch certainly seem to have been inventive as their large street games area even includes street fishing! I reckon if you own a house in the Midi-Pyrénées then it would be worth making a trip to Auch, however far away from it you may be, just to find out whatever street fishing could be. And if you are not lucky enough to have bought a house in France yet then maybe you should consider making an appointment to view some properties near to Auch that weekend. There will certainly be enough activities to tempt any teenagers in your family to the idea of a family home close to such a ‘cool’ town. Sometimes in following our dreams of a rural retreat in France we can overlook the needs of the younger people in the family and it can be good to show them that despite having a house in the country in France they can still pursue exciting teenage activities….probably even better than those they find back at home!
A house near Auch
The countryside throughout Gers is beautiful and tempts many people to buy homes in this department. However, when choosing a location for your house in France it is always wise to check out the nearest town. A rural idyll located where you might have a dreary town as your nearest place of ‘civilisation’ can be disappointing. How nice it is, when you need to go into a town, to look forward to your trip with pleasure and if Auch is your nearest, then that would certainly be the case. It has a wonderful medieval centre with the bustling main square at its heart. There are museums, gardens and the cathedral which has been classified as a UNESCO site of the cultural heritage on the road to Compostella. If you fancy a walk, there is even a 4km discovery trail all along the river. Sounds to me that it could be worth leaving your country cottage for a trip into Auch!
